This new set of charms were heavily inspired by the artist Georges Liautaud. In fact, most of them are a direct rip off of Liautaud. I’m bold enough to admit that.Georges Liautaud was a Haitian artist who forged crosses and tools for cemeteries before having his work discovered by Dewitt Peters in 1940. His work is perfect. The scenes of everyday life are touched by the mystical eye of the artist. The figures have striking charisma and intrigue despite their simplicity. Nothing is burdened by technicalities. The delicate details in his sculptures have the shaky tender and gentle feel of the handmade.These charms are small, fitted with tiny stones, and made from sterling silver. They each have a personality and the tender shaky feel of the handmade. Each of them is made just once and never again!
